Introducing APIMux: Unified Data API Platform for AI Agents
APIMux aggregates data from 9 major platforms into a single, standardized API. Built for AI agents and developers who need reliable, structured data without the complexity of managing multiple integrations.
Every AI agent and data-driven application faces the same challenge: accessing structured data from multiple platforms means managing dozens of different APIs, each with its own authentication, rate limits, response formats, and breaking changes.
We built APIMux to solve this problem.
The Problem: Integration Sprawl
If you're building an AI agent that needs to analyze e-commerce trends, track social media engagement, or monitor advertising campaigns, you're forced to:
- Integrate with 5-10 different APIs, each with unique SDKs and authentication flows
- Handle inconsistent response formats and field naming conventions
- Monitor and adapt to breaking changes across multiple providers
- Manage rate limits, retries, and error handling for each service
- Pay for multiple subscriptions and track usage across different billing systems
This complexity doesn't add value to your product. It's pure overhead.
The Solution: One API, Nine Data Sources
APIMux is a unified data aggregation platform that provides:
9 Data Sources:
- Amazon (product data, reviews, sales trends, BSR tracking)
- TikTok & Douyin (viral content, engagement metrics)
- Meta Ads & Google Ads (ad creatives, campaign performance)
- Google Trends & TrendCloud (search trends, market intelligence)
- Reddit & Xiaohongshu (community discussions, trending topics)
38+ Capabilities covering product research, social analytics, advertising intelligence, and market trends.
One Unified API with standardized JSON responses, stable field contracts, and agent-friendly compact output.
Built for AI Agents
APIMux is designed from the ground up for AI agent consumption:
CLI + Skills Delivery: Install the CLI from GitHub releases, authenticate once, and your agent can access all 38+ capabilities through simple commands.
curl -fsSL https://github.com/reorc/apimux-cli/releases/latest/download/install.sh | shCompact Output Format: Responses are optimized to minimize token overhead. No verbose metadata, no nested wrappers—just the data your agent needs.
Stable Contracts: Field names and response structures are versioned and stable. Your prompts won't break when upstream providers change their APIs.
Three-Part Architecture
APIMux consists of three components:
-
Go Service: The core aggregation layer that handles provider authentication, request normalization, error mapping, caching, and billing. All 9 sources are unified behind a single API contract.
-
CLI: A command-line interface for developers and agents. Supports device-flow authentication, schema introspection, and direct capability invocation.
-
Web App: Manage API keys, view usage analytics, and browse documentation.
Why Not Just Use Provider APIs Directly?
Stability: Provider APIs change frequently. APIMux absorbs these changes and maintains a stable contract for your application.
Simplicity: One authentication flow, one billing relationship, one set of documentation.
Optimization: Compact output formats reduce token overhead for AI agents compared to raw provider responses.
Coverage: Some capabilities (like Amazon sales history or TikTok engagement metrics) require complex multi-step workflows. APIMux handles this complexity for you.
Current Status
APIMux is in active development with production-ready coverage for:
- Amazon: 14 capabilities (product search, reviews, sales data, keyword research)
- Social platforms: TikTok, Douyin, Reddit, Xiaohongshu
- Advertising: Meta Ads, Google Ads
- Trends: Google Trends, TrendCloud
We're adding new sources and capabilities based on user demand. If you need data from a platform we don't yet support, let us know.
